Clinical TransformationTransformative change for operations and key service lines

Clinical transformation begins with process definition
To remain financially sustainable, health systems must transform the delivery of care. Of course, this is easier said than done.
Dynafios provides the expertise and guidance to help understand process, variation, ownership and achieve meaningful clinical transformation to create lasting value—by tapping the full potential of each healthcare provider in your institution.
The Dynafios Clinical Transformation Team has a clear understanding of the issues surrounding clinical and business model transformation. Based on an in-depth review of your institution—from physician organization structure to competition to risk, safety and outcomes metrics—we work with executives, clinicians, IT and other key stakeholders to:
- Define short- and long-term strategic transformation goals
- Identify opportunities for improving processes, quality and efficiency
- Enhance integration and utilization of LEAN solutions in clinical workflows
- Improve alignment of people, process, and technology
- Develop clinical champions throughout the health system to promote adoption
Examples of our work include perioperative services transformation, creation of a centers of excellence and moving an acute care hospital to a new facility.
Perioperative Services
Strengthening operating room (OR) and perioperative services performance is important for future health system success. Many health systems depend upon perioperative services for significant contributions to overall system revenue and operating margins, providing a much needed offset to other less profitable activities.
Dynafios brings the combination of experience, analytics and thought leadership to transform perioperative services to be efficient, defined and predictable week in and week out.
Centers of Excellence
“Centers of Excellence” (or COE) first came into general use in 1991 when the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) began its Medicare Participating Heart Bypass Center Demonstration project. Since this time, many COE programs have been developed in a number of specialty fields, including diabetes, neurosciences, spine, craniofacial surgery, musculoskeletal and orthopedics, cardiology and interventional pain. This model likely will grow in importance and may be as close as possible to a perfect model for care in this changing environment.
Dynafios Centers of Excellence are built on a platform of evidence-based care delivery and the multi-disciplinary team. They are an optimal response to the growing need for disease-based medical management of chronic-type conditions and the requirement to demonstrate efficacy and superior outcomes in a value based healthcare marketplace.
Facility Transition
Both administrative and physician engagement is critical to the success of a new facility from inception to occupying the facility. Making sure both the logistics of the move, coupled with the adoption of efficient workflows, is important to garner the desired outcomes from the new campus.
Dynafios works closely with all stakeholders to define “new” patient, operational and business workflows in the new environment. In addition, the Dynafios team works closely with the organization to ensure an easy transition on “move” day is accomplished and the word seamless recognized by patients, providers and families.
